About Me: Sadie Hine

I’m a 20 year old artist and photographer living in Humboldt County, California. My work has earned me ambassador roles for both Girls Who Click and Nature’s Best Photography, as well as honorable mentions and awards in various competitions.

I specialize in photographing wildlife, and have recently become fond of showcasing biodiversity using portraits and black backgrounds. I also strive to show subjects in their natural habitat, and am always on the hunt for unique textures, colors and perspectives.

Currently, I’m working towards a degree at Cal Poly Humboldt, focusing on connecting the bridge between visual arts and natural sciences. I believe that art has a crucial role to play in conservation. Imagery is a powerful tool, and can effectively draw attention to the beauty, hardships and interconnectedness of the natural world and engage any audience, regardless of background or language.
